School Council

Alt Academy School Council

Aims

Alt Academy is committed to ensuring that children have a voice within the school environment as part of our Rights and Respecting Charter. Our School Council is peer elected and is comprised of a boy and girl from each class in Years 1-6.

The role of the School Council is to ensure that all children are involved in changes and improvements made within the academy. Each elected member of the School Council has the responsibility to present the views of their class and to share the aims of the School Council. School Council members must act as role models within the school community and may also be asked to represent the academy in various situations.

Previous School Councils have had a positive impact within school such as creating a packed lunch policy and representing Alt Academy at various events.

The School Council for 2018-2019 is currently being elected so watch this space to see the future leaders of Alt Academy’s tomorrow!
